Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Rough Plumbing Technician to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining the foundational plumbing systems on commercial and residential construction sites. Your expertise will help ensure that plumbing infrastructure is built to code, functions efficiently, and supports the overall success of each project. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine plumbing layouts and installation procedures.
- Install, assemble, and connect pipes, fittings, fixtures, and appliances using hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to support plumbing installation tasks.
- Use welding techniques when required for pipe joints or repairs, ensuring secure and durable connections.
- Follow safety protocols at all times on construction sites, including proper handling of tools and materials.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction plumbing practices and installation techniques.
- Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and welding equipment.
- Familiarity with construction site safety standards and procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude with understanding of HVAC systems and schematics related to plumbing infrastructure.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during installations.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout work
