Role Overview

As a Room Attendant at Rydges Rotorua, you will join the wider Housekeeping Department, reporting directly to the Housekeeping Manager. This role is a fundamental part of hotel operations in a busy property, ensuring our guests enjoy a clean, comfortable, and welcoming stay. You will maintain guest rooms and public areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Replace linens, towels, and restock amenities to maintain room standards.
• Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as hallways and lobbies.
• Report maintenance issues and damaged items promptly.
• Handle lost and found items according to hotel policy.
• Respond to guest requests professionally and promptly.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
• Physical fitness to manage a physically demanding role.
• Reliable, punctual, and positive attitude with good communication skills.
• Must have valid work rights in New Zealand (We are unable to sponsor this role).
