Initial 3-month contract with the possibility of contract extension or conversion to a permanent position based on performance and business rdirection.
Job Description
- Operate robotic arms and grippers through teleoperation systems to perform manipulation tasks such as picking, placing, assembling, sorting, and tool handling.
- Capture synchronized robot-centric data, including joint states, sensor feedback, camera feeds, and gripper signals, during teleoperation sessions.
- Monitor robot performance, ensure safe and accurate operation, and document operational outcomes, anomalies, and recovery data.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve teleoperation performance, control responsiveness, and data collection quality.
- Maintain accurate metadata logs for data collection activities, including object types, environments, tools used, and task outcomes.
- Wear a VR headset to perform first-person (egocentric) data collection tasks such as object manipulation, assembly, sorting, and tool usage.
- Follow standardized task procedures to ensure consistency and quality across data collection sessions.
- Review, organize, and annotate captured data for AI training purposes.
- Perform basic mechanical and electrical maintenance on robotic arms, grippers, sensors, and automation equipment.
- Assist with robot workcell setup, including equipment installation, cabling, calibration, safety verification, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment while supporting day-to-day robotics operations.
