Retail Supervisor

Location: Cyberjaya
Work Arrangement: Fully On-Site

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Retail Supervisor to lead our store operations and inspire a high-performing retail team. You will be responsible for driving sales, delivering exceptional customer experiences, maintaining operational excellence, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the store. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong retail knowledge, excellent people management skills, and a passion for customer service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

Store Operations \& Sales

• Oversee the daily operations of the retail store to ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable performance.
• Drive sales growth by monitoring store performance and supporting initiatives to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
• Analyse sales trends, customer purchasing behaviour, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Plan and execute promotional campaigns, seasonal events, and marketing initiatives to maximise sales.

Customer Experience

• Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming shopping experience.
• Provide professional product recommendations and ensure the team maintains strong knowledge of baking ingredients, packaging products, and baking tools.
• Resolve customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally to maintain high customer satisfaction.

Team Leadership

• Lead, coach, and motivate the retail team to achieve sales, service, and operational goals.
• Prepare staff duty rosters, manage attendance, leave applications, and manpower planning.
• Conduct on-the-job training and continuous coaching on product knowledge, customer service, and sales techniques.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and performance-driven workplace culture.

Inventory \& Merchandising

• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock ordering and replenishment to ensure product availability.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee stock-taking activities.
• Ensure products are properly priced, well-stocked, and displayed in accordance with company merchandising standards.
• Monitor stock rotation (FIFO), product quality, and expiry dates to minimise wastage and maintain food safety standards.

Cash \& Administration

• Oversee cashier operations, daily cash reconciliation, and sales reporting.
• Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, inventory movements, and operational documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and internal control requirements.

Store Standards \& Compliance

• Maintain a clean, organised, safe, and hygienic retail environment.
• Ensure compliance with food handling, workplace safety, and company operational standards.
• Keep the team informed of new products, promotions, and company updates to ensure consistent execution.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or higher qualification in any discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in retail operations, retail supervision, or a similar customer-facing leadership role.
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused with a positive, proactive, and hands-on attitude.
• Able to work independently while leading and developing a retail team.
• Good communication skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English. Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Proficient in basic computer applications and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
• Experience in retail, supermarket, bakery supply, FMCG, hospitality, aviation, or hotel operations will be an added advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary, Contract

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Cyberjaya: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

• Diploma/Advanced Diploma (Preferred)
