Experience Required

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cashier in a restaurant, café, canteen, or food service environment.

Job Summary

The Restaurant Cashier is responsible for handling customer payments, operating the POS system, maintaining accurate cash records, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring all transactions are processed efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the POS system and process cash, card, and online payments.
• Issue receipts and maintain accurate transaction records.
• Handle customer inquiries and provide friendly customer service.
• Perform opening and closing cash procedures.
• Reconcile cash, card settlements, and daily sales reports.
• Ensure all transactions are recorded correctly in the system.
• Report cash shortages, overages, or discrepancies to management.
• Assist with daily sales and cash audit requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier counter area.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow company policies, cash-handling procedures, and security guidelines.
• Support promotional activities and special sales events when required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Restaurant Cashier or similar role.
• Experience using POS systems and cash-handling procedures.
• Basic knowledge of cash reconciliation and sales reporting.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
