Job Description

The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for the complete day-to-day operation of Olive Hut Restaurant. As the owner is based outside the country, the manager will act as the owner’s representative on-site, ensuring smooth operations, staff discipline, customer satisfaction, inventory control, financial accountability, and business growth.

The ideal candidate must be highly trustworthy, proactive, organized, and capable of independently managing restaurant operations while providing transparent reporting to the owner.

Key Responsibilities

Restaurant Manager – Key Responsibilities

1. Operations Management

  • Manage daily restaurant operations.
  • Ensure smooth service, cleanliness, and food safety.
  • Monitor dine-in, takeaway, and delivery orders.
  • Resolve operational issues promptly.

2. Staff Management

  • Supervise all restaurant staff.
  • Prepare duty schedules and shifts.
  • Monitor attendance and performance.
  • Train staff and enforce company policies.

3. Inventory Control

  • Monitor stock levels and inventory records.
  • Control wastage and ensure proper storage.
  • Verify deliveries and conduct stock audits.

4. Financial Management

  • Monitor daily sales and expenses.
  • Verify cash, card, and POS transactions.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.

5. Purchasing \& Suppliers

  • Coordinate with suppliers.
  • Obtain quotations and negotiate prices.
  • Ensure timely procurement of stock.

6. Customer Service

  • Ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Handle complaints professionally.
  • Maintain positive restaurant reputation.

7. Food Quality \& Hygiene

  • Maintain food quality and presentation standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular hygiene inspections.

8. Delivery Management

  • Monitor online and delivery platform orders.
  • Ensure timely and accurate order dispatch.

9. Business Development

  • Support promotions and marketing activities.
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales and revenue.
  • Monitor market trends and competitors.

Daily Reports to Owner

  • Sales Report
  • Cash \& Card Collection Report
  • Delivery Sales Report
  • Expense Report
  • Inventory Report
  • Staff Attendance Report
  • Operational Issues Report

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, Hotel Management, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of restaurant management experience.
  • Experience in staff supervision, inventory control, and financial management.
  • Knowledge of POS systems and reporting.
  • Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic reporting.
