Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring smooth daily operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and leading a team of food service professionals. Duties
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, and serving to ensure quality standards are met.
- Manage and supervise staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, and scheduling team members.
- Ensure adherence to food safety and handling regulations to maintain a safe dining environment.
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling accurately.
- Lead team management efforts by motivating staff, fostering teamwork, and maintaining high levels of customer service.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with kitchen staff for food preparation needs.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist with kitchen operations when necessary, including food preparation and food industry best practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant environment in compliance with health regulations.
- Support the management team in implementing promotional activities and operational improvements.
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant management or food service roles, including supervising teams.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling expertise is essential.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled in interviewing potential staff members and conducting training sessions.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including kitchen experience and food handling procedures.
- Familiarity with the food industry trends and hotel or barista experience is a plus.
