Job Description

The Restaurant Ambassador is responsible for creating a welcoming and memorable dining experience by serving as the first point of contact for guests. The role involves greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, coordinating guest flow within the restaurant, and ensuring exceptional customer service standards are maintained at all times. The Restaurant Ambassador plays a key role in enhancing guest satisfaction and promoting the restaurant's image and reputation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
  • Escort guests to their tables and present menus when required.
  • Maintain a positive and engaging presence within the restaurant.
  • Build rapport with guests and ensure a personalized dining experience.
  • Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer assistance.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Manage restaurant reservations through approved booking systems.
  • Coordinate table assignments to maximize seating efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor waiting lists and communicate accurate wait times to guests.
  • Ensure smooth guest flow during peak service periods.
  • Coordinate with service staff regarding table availability and special guest requests.
  • Ensure guests receive prompt attention throughout their dining experience.
  • Follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction with food, beverage, and service.
  • Recognize VIP guests, repeat customers, and special occasions.
  • Assist in creating memorable guest experiences through personalized service.
  • Support guest feedback collection and service improvement initiatives.
  • Liaise with Restaurant Managers, Supervisors, Chefs, and service teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Communicate guest preferences, special requests, dietary requirements, and celebrations to relevant team members.
  • Support special events, promotions, and restaurant activities.
  • Assist with outlet opening and closing procedures when required.
  • Maintain the highest standards of hospitality, grooming, and professionalism.
  • Ensure restaurant entrance, reception desk, and waiting areas remain clean, organized, and presentable.
  • Promote the restaurant's brand image and service culture.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Follow health, safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company and local regulatory requirements.
  • Report safety concerns, incidents, or maintenance issues promptly.
Qualifications \& Requirements
  • High School Diploma; Hospitality, Tourism, or Hotel Management qualification is preferred.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in hospitality, restaurants, guest relations, front office, or customer service.
  • Previous experience in luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, or upscale hospitality environments is an advantage.
  • Good command of English; additional languages are considered a plus.
  • Professional, polished, and well-groomed appearance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and guest engagement abilities.
  • Positive attitude with a welcoming and approachable personality.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.
