Reporting to the Maintenance Lead, the Maintenance CI Lead plays a critical role in lifting asset performance, reliability and maintenance effectiveness across the Virginia site.

This role leads and embeds continuous improvement initiatives across the maintenance and engineering teams, working closely with operations to eliminate repeat failures, improve planning and scheduling maturity, and strengthen technical capability on the lines. You’ll spend much of your time on the tools or on the factory floor, leading by example and coaching teams to deliver safer, more reliable and predictable equipment performance.

With a strong focus on loss elimination, preventative and autonomous maintenance, this role is ideal for a hands‑on maintenance professional who is passionate about CI, capability building and operational excellence.

What your days look like: * Leading continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance and engineering to improve asset reliability and cost efficiency * Working alongside production teams to identify repetitive issues and implement “fix it forever” solutions * Reviewing breakdowns, completed work and root cause analysis to ensure learnings are embedded into standards and plans * Coaching and developing teams in preventative and autonomous maintenance practices (AM, CIL, CL, DH) * Driving maintenance planning and scheduling discipline through SAP work orders and backlog management * Supporting planned maintenance, shutdowns and major interventions to optimise downtime * Updating maintenance standards, procedures, drawings and technical documentation * Tracking, analysing and sharing maintenance KPIs to improve equipment performance and predictability

The Ingredients for Success:

Just like reliable equipment depends on the right foundations, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role: * 5+ years’ experience across multi‑discipline maintenance teams (food manufacturing experience highly desirable) * Strong hands‑on maintenance background with demonstrated Continuous Improvement experience * Proven problem‑solving capability using RCA, 5 Why or similar methodologies * Ability to influence, coach and lead teams through change * Strong safety mindset with experience in safe work practices and risk assessments * Proficiency in SAP maintenance functions * Solid capability in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and relevant systems * Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across operations and engineering
