Registered Veterinary Nurse

Job Overview

Full-time RVN required, part time considered. We are an independent mixed practice located in Northiam, East Sussex. The role would be predominantly small animal but with a good amount of large animal work. We have a friendly team with a varied caseload.

The role would also involve being on call on a basis of approximately 1 in 6 weekends and less one night during the working week. Being based within a 20 minute radius of the practice for on call is required.

Duties

• Assist veterinarians during consultations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures.
• Monitor anaesthesia and patient recovery to ensure safety and comfort at all times
• Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and cytology to aid diagnosis and treatment planning
• Provide compassionate nursing care, including wound management, medication administration, and nutritional support
• Maintain accurate medical records, update patient files, and ensure compliance with clinic protocols
• Educate pet owners on post-treatment care, preventive health measures, and medication administration
• Support the team with inventory management of medical supplies and equipment to ensure readiness for all procedures

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary experience
• Certification as a Registered Veterinary Nurse or equivalent qualification recognized by relevant veterinary authorities

Pay: £25,500.00-£30,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
