What you'll be doing

In this role, you will provide safe, evidence-based, person-centred nursing care to optimise patient outcomes within a complex clinical setting. You will work collaboratively with patients, families and the healthcare team to deliver responsive, high-quality care.* Deliver holistic, patient-centred care tailored to individual needs * Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition in a fast-paced unit * Coordinate care, including discharge planning and appropriate referrals * Supervise, mentor and support junior staff and students * Participate in quality improvement and clinical excellence initiatives

Essential Criteria* Registration: Current and valid registration as a Registered Nurse (Division with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia

Selection Criteria* Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). * Demonstrated extensive and recent critical nursing skills and experience, demonstrated resuscitation experience desired. Currently working in Critical Care Nursing or minimum 6 months recent critical experience. * Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work * Effective interpersonal skills showing initiative and leadership to junior members of the team * Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues * Capacity to work seven ( day rotating roster including public holidays. * Demonstrated effective communication skills- written and verbal * Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide person centred care
