Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. Duties

• Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, oral syergery, prosthodontics, endodontics, orthodontics and pediatric dentistry, ensuring optimal patient comfort and safety
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and maintaining aseptic techniques in accordance with infection control protocols
• Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans and medical imaging, while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality
• Manage patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic to ensure accurate medical documentation and coding
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient readiness by recording medical history and current health status before procedures
• Support front desk operations as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information
• Maintain strict infection control standards and ensure all clinical areas meet OSHA guidelines for safety and cleanliness
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions using clear dental terminology

Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques
• Experience with chairside assisting across various specialties such as pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry
• Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, medical imaging devices, and other dental technology tools
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards to protect patient privacy at all times
• Effective communication skills to interact confidently with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics
• Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental procedures and patient care documentation
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in medical coding and record keeping
