Marketing Content Coordinator (Copywriter)
Role Summary
We’re seeking a Marketing Content Coordinator to join our growing marketing team and support the Marketing Manager in delivering best-in-class content across our retail and digital channels.
This role is ideal for a talented copywriter who wants to evolve into a more generalist marketing role while maintaining ownership over all brand copy, content templates, and translation workflows.
You’ll be the designated authority for copywriting and localization, ensuring our messaging is impactful, consistent, and aligned with both brand guidelines and retailer-specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Copywriting \& Content Creation
· Own the creation, refinement, and maintenance of brand + private label copy templates used across retailers, channels, and campaigns.
· Write clear, compelling, and on-brand marketing copy for product pages, web banners, email campaigns, social media, packaging, installation manuals, presentations, and more.
· Adapt messaging to retailer-specific opportunities and platform requirements.
· Utilize generative AI tools to streamline content creation and optimize output quality and efficiency.
· Collaborate with internal teams to ensure copy aligns with product positioning, brand tone, and business objectives.
· Proofread and copy-edit existing and generated content for clarity, grammar, and consistency – for both the US and Canadian markets.
2. Translation \& Localization
· Lead the translation process of English content into French, ensuring accuracy, cultural relevance, and brand alignment.
· Coordinate with external translators and/or internal AI-powered tools to improve speed and quality.
· Conduct final QA checks to ensure consistency and brand integrity across both languages.
3. Website \& Digital Shelf Support
· Manage updates to product descriptions, specifications, and imagery on our digital shelf, including retailer platforms and our own website.
· Ensure all online content is SEO-optimized to drive discoverability and conversion.
· Monitor listings to confirm accuracy, market relevancy, and compliance with brand and retailer standards.
4. Brand \& Imagery Coordination
· Collaborate with designers and the Marketing Manager to source, organize, and manage creative assets for campaigns.
· Ensure visuals and copy work together seamlessly across platforms.
· Support the coordination of content and asset development as required.
5. Campaign Execution \& Admin Support
· Assist in planning and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns, including scheduling and deploying content.
· Participate in community management and crisis management, representing the brand on social platforms.
· Track campaign performance metrics and extract insights to inform future optimizations.
· Maintain content calendars and coordinate timelines to meet deadlines.
· Handle administrative tasks like coordinating with vendors, preparing briefs, or maintaining brand files.
Reporting \& Collaboration
· Report directly to the Marketing Manager, providing updates on copy-related initiatives and content performance.
· Collaborate cross-functionally with product, sales, customer service, and external partners to gather inputs and align messaging.
· Act as the go-to resource for copy and translation within the marketing team.
Requirements \& Experience
Experience
· 2–4 years in a copywriting-focused marketing role (e-commerce, retail, or digital publishing preferred).
· Proven ability to write engaging, persuasive content across multiple channels.
· Experience adapting copy for different audiences, retailers, brands and platform requirements.
· Experience developing and maintaining product copy template documents, for scaled output of copy.
· Hands-on experience managing translation workflows (English ↔ French highly preferred).
· Familiarity with generative AI content tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper, Copy.ai) is a strong asset.
· Experience working with Product Information Management tools like Salsify or Syndigo highly advantageous.
Skills
· Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English; French proficiency highly desirable.
· Understanding of SEO best practices and digital content optimization.
· Highly organized with strong project management abilities.
· Comfortable balancing hands-on execution with ownership-level accountability.
· Adaptable and collaborative, thriving in cross-functional environments.
