About The Media Firm.

The Media Firm. is a Toronto-based content marketing agency specializing in high-performing construction and real estate content for premium brands across the Greater Toronto Area. We work with custom home builders, contractors, interior designers, and luxury real estate professionals on a retainer basis, focusing on long-term brand growth, consistency, and performance.

In addition to client work, we operate a growing luxury real estate media platform with strong audience reach and deep industry relationships. This platform drives brand exposure, partnerships, and expansion opportunities.

We are now entering a growth phase focused on:

  • Higher content standards
  • Original content series
  • Stronger content systems
  • Expansion across Canada and eventually the U.S.

This role is critical in helping us execute at that level.

Role Overview

This is a creative leadership + execution role.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading content direction across client accounts and internal brands
  • Managing and guiding the content team
  • Executing content when needed (shooting, directing, overseeing production)

This is a player-coach role:

  • You lead the team
  • But can step in and execute when necessary

You will work closely with the CEO, who leads:

  • Client acquisition
  • Partnerships
  • Vision and direction

Your role is to:
Translate that vision into high-quality, consistent, and scalable content execution

Content Focus

  • \~60% Construction content
  • \~40% Real Estate content

Clients are primarily:

  • Custom home builders
  • Contractors
  • Interior designers
  • Luxury real estate professionals

Core Responsibilities
Creative Direction \& Client Content Strategy

  • Lead content direction across all client accounts
  • Ensure each client has a clear:
  • Content strategy
  • Direction
  • Execution plan
  • Maintain consistency and quality across all deliverables
  • Align content with client goals, brand, and audience

Content Strategy (Short-Form + Long-Form)

  • Develop and execute content marketing strategies
  • Structure content across:
  • Short-form (Reels, TikTok, Shorts)
  • Long-form (YouTube, content series)
  • Build systems where:
  • Short-form drives attention
  • Long-form builds authority and depth

Content Series Development (Media Brand)

  • Lead development of original content series

Define:

  • Format
  • Structure
  • Storyline
  • Visual direction
  • Work with hosts and talent to ensure consistency
  • Build scalable formats for expansion

Production Leadership \& Execution

  • Lead production across shoots and projects

Direct:

  • Shot structure
  • Flow
  • On-camera delivery
  • Step in to shoot content when needed
  • Ensure all footage is captured with post-production in mind

Team Leadership \& Project Execution

  • Lead videographers, editors, and content team members
  • Ensure:
  • Clear roles and expectations
  • Timely delivery
  • High-quality output
  • Improve workflows and production systems

Storytelling \& Viral Content Structure

  • Apply strong storytelling principles across all content
  • Structure content with:
  • Strong hooks
  • Clear progression
  • Retention-focused pacing
  • Implement viral content formats and editing structures

Quality Control \& Standards

  • Maintain high standards across:
  • Clients
  • Internal content
  • Content series
  • Continuously push quality and performance

Growth \& Expansion Readiness

  • Help build systems that scale across:
  • New clients
  • New cities
  • New markets
  • Support expansion across Canada and the U.S.

  • Long-form content (YouTube or similar)

  • Experience leading content projects or teams
  • Ability to both lead and execute
  • Strong communication and leadership skills

Necessary Experience

  • Experience in real estate, construction, or interior design industries
  • Experience working with media brands or content platforms
  • Video editing experience or strong post-production knowledge
  • Experience building scalable content systems

Compensation

  • Part-time to start (hours based on scope)

We’re not looking for someone to just create content.

We’re looking for someone who can lead, execute, and elevate the entire content operation.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
