Reading and Math After School Tutor

This position is with a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting youth academic success and personal development. The tutor will provide small-group and/or individualized instruction in reading and math for elementary students (Kindergarten). Our goal is to strengthen foundational skills, improve academic performance, and foster a love for learning

Work Schedule:

No weekends.

Monday, Tuesday \& Thursday
4:00 PM – 7:00 PM during the school year (Aug 31st 2026 - May 21 2027)

\<Responsibilities>

• Provide structured reading and math instruction aligned with grade-level standards
• Support students in phonics, fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, and math fundamentals
• Conduct assessments to identify learning gaps
• Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to student needs
• Maintain accurate attendance and progress documentation
• Communicate student progress with program leadership
• Create a positive, safe, and encouraging learning environment
• Support bilingual families when needed

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)
