Position Overview
The QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured meet internal quality standards, customer specifications, and industry requirements. This role focuses on quality system implementation, process control, defect analysis, and continuous improvement activities within the manufacturing environment.
The QA Engineer plays a key role in maintaining product reliability, reducing defects, and supporting customer satisfaction through effective quality management practices.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance \& Process Control
- Monitor and ensure compliance with quality standards, procedures, and specifications in production processes
- Conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure product conformity
- Develop and maintain quality inspection plans, control plans, and work instructions
- Ensure proper implementation of quality systems and procedures across production lines
Quality Problem Solving \& Analysis
- Investigate product defects, non-conformities, and customer complaints
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Use quality tools such as 7 QC tools, FMEA, and 8D problem solving
- Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues
Supplier \& Incoming Quality Control Support
- Support incoming inspection processes for raw materials and components
- Monitor supplier quality performance and feedback
- Coordinate with Procurement and suppliers on quality-related issues
Manufacturing Support \& Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with Production to improve process stability and reduce defect rates
- Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve product quality and operational efficiency
Documentation \& Compliance
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and audit documentation
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 standards (if applicable)
- Support internal and external audits, including customer audits
- Ensure proper calibration and control of measuring equipment
Customer Quality Support
- Handle customer complaints and coordinate investigation reports
- Prepare and submit quality reports to customers when required
- Participate in customer meetings related to quality issues
Team Support \& Training
- Support training of operators and production staff on quality standards
- Promote quality awareness and adherence to SOPs across the organization
- Assist QA/QC team in daily inspection activities and improvement programs
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field)
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in QA/QC within manufacturing industry
- Experience in automotive, electronics, or wire harness industry is an advantage
- Knowledge of quality tools (8D, 5 Why, FMEA, SPC, 7 QC Tools)
- Familiar with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 standards preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Able to work in fast-paced manufacturing environment

Pay: RM2,048.73 - RM4,500.00 per month
