Job Details

Location: Sunway Velocity, Kuala Lumpur (5-min walk from Cochrane MRT)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: RM 4,000 – RM 6,000
Work Days: Hybrid
Working Hours: 9 AM – 6 PM / 10 AM - 7PM (Flexible)

About the Role

We are looking for a QA Developer who is passionate about software quality and automation. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure our applications are reliable, scalable, and production-ready. This role blends testing expertise with development skills, focusing heavily on test automation and quality processes.

Job Description

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites (API, backend, and UI)
• Perform manual testing when required (exploratory, regression, UAT)
• Collaborate with developers early in the development lifecycle to improve testability
• Review requirements, technical designs, and code to identify test scenarios
• Build and maintain CI/CD-integrated testing pipelines
• Track, report, and verify bugs with clear reproduction steps
• Improve QA processes, tools, and testing standards continuously
• Ensure performance, security, and edge cases are covered where applicable

Requirements

• At least 1+ years of experience in QA / Software Testing
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Experience with testing processes in Preparation, Excuation, Bug Defect Escalation and Report
• Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g. Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, PHPUnit, Jest, PyTest)
• Hands-on experience testing APIs (REST/JSON) using tools like Postman or automated API tests
• Ability to write clean, maintainable test code
• Familiar with Git, CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and a quality-first mindset

Bonus

• Experience testing Laravel / Go / Node.js / Vue.js applications
• Performance testing experience (k6, JMeter, Locust)
• Security testing knowledge (OWASP basics)
• Experience with Docker or cloud environments (AWS, GCP)
• Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
