Qualified veterinary nurse

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Nurse to join our veterinary practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to animals, supporting veterinarians, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. Responsibilities

• Assisting veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures with preparation and post-operative care
• Administering medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
• Monitoring anaesthesia and assisting with diagnostic procedures such as blood tests and laboratory work
• Providing nursing care including wound management, patient feeding, and comfort measures
• Maintaining accurate medical records and updating patient files regularly
• Ensuring cleanliness and organisation of the clinic, including sterilisation of equipment
• Educating pet owners on post-treatment care and general animal health advice
• Supporting laboratory tasks such as sample collection, processing, and analysis when required

Experience

• Previous veterinary experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with clinical procedures and animal handling
• Laboratory experience is advantageous for assisting with diagnostic testing and sample analysis
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
