About the Roles
We are hiring a QC Technician for a permanent role with a dairy manufacturing company based in Tuas. This position operates on a 5-day work week (Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 8:00pm) and offers a competitive gross salary of $3000 – $3500 including OT and performance bonus. What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform sensory evaluations on raw materials and finished products, assessing attributes such as taste, smell, and appearance.
- Carry out solubility tests and other relevant laboratory analyses.
- Complete LOT testing prior to product release or submission to external laboratories.
- Accurately document all test findings and promptly escalate any quality concerns.
- Ensure QC/QA validation is obtained for all completed tests.
- Assist in developing and executing laboratory SOPs.
- Prepare and coordinate sample submissions to external labs, including Setsco, and monitor their progress.
- Review and maintain proper records of external laboratory reports.
- Support handling of trial, customer, reference, and retention samples.
- Maintain proper sample identification, traceability, and storage conditions.
- Conduct production line checks including start-up, changeover, and routine inspections.
- Carry out hygiene, GMP, environmental, and hand swab testing.
- Manage product changeovers, first-off inspections, rejection handling, and related documentation.
- Verify production records, work orders, and data logger outputs.
- Maintain detailed records for lab testing, billing, and traceability.
- Ensure adherence to GMP, HACCP, food safety standards, and internal SOPs.
- Keep the laboratory clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the QA Manager or management team.
What We’re Looking For
- 3 to 5 years of experience in QC or laboratory roles within food manufacturing.
- Familiarity with sensory evaluation and laboratory testing processes is advantageous.
- Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety systems.
- Certifications such as ISO 22000 and Food Safety Level 1 \& 3 are a plus.
- Comfortable working in production or warehouse settings, including handling physical tasks.
- Able to support 12-hour rotating day and night shifts when required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
