Description and Requirements

We are looking for a QA Engineer who is passionate about delivering high-quality software through a combination of manual and automated testing. The ideal candidate is comfortable working closely with developers throughout the development lifecycle, proactively identifying issues, improving test coverage, and contributing to the overall quality of our cloud-native applications and distributed systems.

What you will do:

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for new and existing features
• Verify the functionality, reliability, performance, and stability of backend services and web applications
• Collaborate closely with software engineers and product stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects to resolution
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test suites and testing frameworks
• Perform regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Validate software releases and participate in release readiness activities
• Help improve QA processes, testing strategies, and overall product quality
• Investigate production issues, reproduce reported defects, and assist with root cause analysis
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve testing efficiency, automation, and documentation while ensuring the accuracy and quality of generated artifacts

What you will bring:

• Experience testing web applications, REST APIs, and backend services
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA best practices
• Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and regression test suites
• Experience with an automated testing framework (e.g. Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, or similar)
• Familiarity with:
• Linux environments
• Virtual Machines (VMware, Hyper-V, VirtualBox, or similar)
• Ability to investigate, reproduce, and clearly document software defects
• Experience working in Agile development teams
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

AI-Assisted Testing

• Familiarity with GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development/testing tools
• Ability to leverage AI tools to improve test creation, debugging, and automation while validating generated code and test cases

Nice to Have

• JavaScript
• Basic knowledge of Node.js
• Experience testing distributed systems or microservice-based applications
• Familiarity with RabbitMQ, MongoDB, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with Grafana, Keycloak, and cloud platforms
• Basic scripting experience (Bash or Python)
• Hands-on experience with scalability, load, and stress testing
