Role overview:
SIE Martech Engineering team looking for a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer with 6+ years of experience, who will design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies for AEM based web applications, ensuring high quality, scalable, secure, and performant solutions for PlayStation.com and internal applications. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with architects, developers, product management, and operations teams to deliver robust software solutions and mentor junior QA engineers.
What you'll be doing:
- Design, create, and execute manual and automated test plans and scripts to validate functionality, performance, and security of AEM sites and web applications.
- Conduct in-depth functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing for new or enhanced features.
- Identify, triage, report, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and re-testing.
- Work in an agile, collaborative environment with globally distributed engineering teams.
- Ensure high-quality, low-defect releases through rigorous testing and process adherence.
- Develop and maintain automated testing scripts using Java, Selenium WebDriver, Applitools, Cucumber, or other relevant frameworks.
- Configure CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Maven, and related tools to support automated test execution.
- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers through code reviews, workshops, defect documentation, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with developers and architects to review requirements, technical designs, and implementation for testability and coverage.
- Participate in end-to-end QA of web applications, including REST APIs, XML, Xpath validation, and AEM components testing.
- Evaluate test frameworks and recommend improvements for automation efficiency and coverage.
What we're looking for:
- Education: BSc/MSc in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience:
- 6+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, with a focus on web application testing.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and related Adobe products.
- 4+ years of test automation experience using Java, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, or equivalent frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Maven) for automated testing integration.
- Strong knowledge of web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, XML, REST APIs, and Postman.
- Expertise in functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
- Proficient in defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, QTest, or Wrike.
- Experience in reviewing technical designs, AEM components, templates, and services layers to support test planning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Additional skills:
- Understanding of gaming industry and video game culture is a plus.
- Experience in mentoring and leading QA teams, including code and test reviews.
- Organized self-starter with strong ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage deadlines.
- Familiarity with performance monitoring, caching mechanisms, and security best practices in web applications.
- Demonstrable ability to analyze complex business problems and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Passionate about continuous improvement and driving QA automation strategy.
