What you’ll own
- You will be owning the designing and planning test strategies for projects and applications.
- You will be undertaking planning activities for agile deliveries.
- You will work alongside the Automation Test Lead to progress automation backlog items.
- You will create automated tests to enhance the existing test suite using Selenium.
- You will support and maintain the test automation framework with respect to implementation of new features, existing features and bug fixes.
- You will be analysing requirements and user stories to derive automated test cases, adding to the test suite using Selenium.
- You will be executing tests thoroughly to ensure software quality, running automated tests and identifying defects.
- You will be actively contributing to process improvement initiatives and enhancements to current procedures including recommending quality improvements.
- You will be working with project teams to resolve any issues in a timely manner whilst keeping relevant stakeholders informed of progress and challenges.
- You will be supporting and maintaining the test automation framework with respect to implementation of new features, existing features, or bug fixes.
What you’ll bring
- 4–5 years of relevant experience as a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer
- Experience of test automation using Selenium Web Driver
- Ability to refactor code to reduce complexity
- Knowledge of software testing procedures and be skilled in test planning, test estimation, prioritisation and risk-based testing
- Practical experience of agile testing methodologies – BDD, TDD etc.
- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and SQL
- Proven experience operating within an Agile development environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
