Education
  • Bachelor/Honors, Masters
  • Graduation/Post Graduation in (Engineering/ Development Studies/ Project Management) or In any relevant subject from any reputed institution.
Experience
  • At least 6 years

National Skills Certification (NSC), NTVQF Level 4/5 would be preferable


Responsibilities & Context

Project Manager (vocational) will lead the implementation of skill development activities in the selected camps under the umbrella of HCMP which involves effectively deliver, manage, monitor and report on the projects in line with the project objectives, timeframe and budget. In addition to that, manage and train staff to meet standards, encourage beneficiary participation, liaison with other stakeholders, ensure safe guarding issues of participants & staff, and contribute to the overall implement and development of skill components.

  • Plan, develop and implement the skill development activities in the selected camp under the umbrella of HCMP, BRAC.
  • Provide support in designing and developing the Livelihood and Skills Development programs of BRAC HCMP.
  • Lead and conduct training as required for the TVET and Skills Development programs in Bhasan Chars, in accordance with the project objectives, activities and targets outlined in the project documents and in line with project’s budgets.
  • Coordinate supporting research for identifying skills demand in coordination with other relevant experts and share/use the findings for programs development, communication and marketing.
  • Facilitate curricula, module/ materials development process for TVET and Skills Development programs.
  • Assess TVET institutes and identify gap to upgrade physical and lab facilities to implement occupation specific training.
  • Develop work Plan Supervise project partners to achieve the target of the project.
  • Manage and provide technical assistance with training support to the skill development training centers.
  • Assist and support donor specific quarterly, half yearly and annual report.
  • Develop and disseminate communication and visibility materials.
  • Facilitate training on job placement activities to the local training providers and visit industry to monitor the job training in the workplace.
  • Ensure exploring and find the institutional participants (volunteers already engaged in jobs) for skills training.
  • Provide necessary supervision and guidance including job induction and orientation to all the subordinate staffs.
  • Represent BRAC in any relevant thematic meetings with stakeholders and otherwise as needed;
  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
