Job Description

Construction Project Manager

Project managers oversee the planning and delivery of construction projects. They ensure that work is completed on time and within budget.

Planning and Pre-Construction

  • Define scope: Set clear project goals and map out every phase of the build.
  • Review designs: Check blueprints and plans with architects and engineers for accuracy.
  • Secure permits: Get all legal licenses and local building permissions.
  • Estimate costs: Work with teams to build accurate bids and project estimate

Budget and Financial Control

  • Track spending: Monitor costs daily to stop money waste and avoid overspending.
  • Process contracts: Negotiate and sign fair deals with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Manage changes: Handle cost updates and process change orders when plans shift.
  • Handle billing: Review and submit payment requests and purchase orders.

Scheduling and Resource Management

  • Create timelines: Build realistic schedules and target milestone dates.
  • Order supplies: Procure building materials and equipment so they arrive on time.
  • Coordinate trades: Sequence work so different teams (like plumbers and electricians) do not block each other.
  • Adjust plans: Fix schedule slips quickly when unexpected delays happen.

Leadership and Quality Control

  • Supervise teams: Lead on-site workers, general contractors, and specialized trade crews.
  • Enforce safety: Make sure the site follows safety laws and injury prevention rules.
  • Inspect quality: Check that completed work meets high building standards.
  • Resolve conflicts: Fix on-site arguments or trade bottlenecks fast.

Communication and Closeout

  • Update clients: Share clear progress reports with owners and stakeholders.
  • Keep records: Maintain accurate files of daily logs, contracts, and meetings.
  • Final handoff: Manage final system tests, clean up punch lists, and close out project documents.

Education and Licensing

  • Engineering License: Registration with the Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE) is frequently required for engineering-heavy oversight roles.

Pay: From BD500.000 per month
