Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will shape and lead the Project Management Office (PMO) function for ABB Electrification Distribution Solutions in Korea while driving the successful execution of customer projects.
You will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of customer projects involving ABB's electrical distribution solutions for industrial, EPC, and data center applications.
You will shape Electrification Distribution Solution Korea's project management operating model by leveraging ABB global standards, industry best practices, and your own project execution experience, while driving continuous improvements in project quality, delivery performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. As a member of the Distribution Solutions Korea leadership team, you will contribute to the strategic direction and operational excellence of the division.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions Team in South Korea. Main stakeholders are customers, Sales, Engineering, Operations, and the Distribution Solutions leadership team.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Build and lead the PMO organization, shaping the division's project management operating model by leveraging ABB global standards and industry best practices while developing project management capabilities, governance frameworks, execution methodologies, and performance management systems.
• Drive successful project delivery by ensuring customer projects are executed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while effectively managing risks and stakeholder expectations from order handover through final acceptance.
• Build strong partnerships and lead collaboration across Sales, ABB feeder factories, supply chain, commissioning, service teams, and customers to drive execution excellence, proactively resolve project challenges, and deliver superior customer outcomes.
• Develop a high-performing project management organization by coaching project managers, strengthening execution capabilities, and fostering a culture of customer-centricity, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience leading electrical infrastructure, power distribution, industrial, data center, or EPC projects, with proven success managing cross-functional project teams and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems, integrated electrification solutions, and project execution environments.
• Experience with switchgear, automation, protection and control systems, data center infrastructure, or related electrical solutions is preferred
• Demonstrated experience building, improving, or leading project management organizations, operating models, governance frameworks, project controls, or operational excellence initiatives.
• Strong leadership and people development skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams, drive organizational change, and contribute as a member of a senior leadership team.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience collaborating across sales, global organizations, manufacturing sites, customers, contractors, and service organizations.
• Fluent in Korean and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with local and global stakeholders.
