The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading the organization's procurement function by developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. The role is focused on delivering value, maintaining quality standards, mitigating supply risks, and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Lead the sourcing, evaluation, and selection of suppliers and service providers.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, contracts, and service level agreements to achieve optimal value.
- Manage supplier performance through regular reviews, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process efficiencies while maintaining quality and service standards.
- Ensure timely procurement of goods and services to support operational requirements.
- Prepare and manage requests for quotation (RFQs), requests for proposal (RFPs), and tender processes.
- Review, approve, and monitor purchase orders and procurement activities in accordance with company policies and delegated authority levels.
- Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and resolve commercial or supply-related issues.
- Collaborate with operations, finance, logistics, engineering, and other departments to understand procurement requirements and forecast demand.
- Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, and supply chain risks to support informed purchasing decisions.
- Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, contractual, and regulatory procurement requirements.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier documentation, and contract files.
- Develop and manage procurement budgets and monitor purchasing expenditures.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Support inventory optimization initiatives in collaboration with warehouse and logistics teams.
- Drive continuous improvement of procurement policies, procedures, and systems.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5–8 years of procurement or supply chain experience,
- Experience managing supplier negotiations, contracts, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
