Procurement Manager – Marine (Vessel Operations \& Supply Chain)

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager – Marine with strong knowledge of marine procurement, vessel operations, technical supplies, and supplier management. The role is responsible for managing the complete procurement cycle for fleet operations, ensuring timely availability of critical spares, equipment, consumables, and services while maintaining cost efficiency and compliance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for vessels, workshops, warehouses, and office operations.
• Handle procurement of marine spare parts, engine components, LSA/FFA equipment, tools, consumables, and technical supplies.
• Coordinate with Technical Superintendents, Chief Engineers, Vessel Managers, and Operations teams to understand requirements and ensure timely supply.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local and international suppliers, vendors, and service providers.
• Obtain quotations, conduct price comparisons, negotiate commercial terms, and recommend cost-effective purchasing decisions.
• Ensure procurement is carried out according to company approval procedures and budget requirements.
• Monitor purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier performance.
• Coordinate with suppliers, logistics teams, and customs agents for timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Review purchase requests, verify specifications, and ensure correct materials are supplied.
• Support inventory planning by monitoring stock levels, consumption trends, and critical spare requirements.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, alternative suppliers, and improved procurement efficiency.
• Maintain proper documentation for requisitions, quotations, purchase orders, invoices, and supplier records.
• Support audits by maintaining transparent procurement records and compliance documentation.
• Manage supplier evaluation and performance review processes.
• Ensure compliance with maritime standards, company policies, and procurement procedures.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in marine procurement / ship management / offshore procurement.
• Strong knowledge of marine spare parts, vessel machinery, technical stores, and ship supplies.
• Experience dealing with Chief Engineers, Technical Superintendents, and vessel operations teams.
• Proven experience in supplier negotiation, sourcing, and cost control.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, purchase orders, and supply chain management.
• Experience using ERP / PMS / Procurement Management Systems.
• Strong MS Excel and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor management abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple vessels and urgent operational requirements.
• UAE Driving License is preferred/mandatory.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience with ship management companies, offshore companies, or marine service providers.
• Knowledge of vessel maintenance requirements and technical procurement.
• Experience with international sourcing, import/export procedures, and customs documentation.
• Familiarity with marine classification requirements and technical standards.

Salary Package:

Important Note:

Candidates must have marine procurement experience with knowledge of vessel spare parts, technical supplies, and shipping operations. Candidates with only general construction, retail, or warehouse procurement experience will not be considered.
