A professional footballer based in Madrid is seeking an exceptional Private Chef to prepare high-quality, nutritious and flavourful meals within his private household.

This is a demanding role requiring a highly experienced chef with previous UK experience, ideally within a private house, luxury hospitality environment or for professional athletes.

The ideal candidate will be confident across a wide range of international cuisines. The client particularly enjoys food that is full of flavour, creatively prepared and well-seasoned with herbs and spices.

The role will typically involve lunch and dinner service, with occasional breakfasts required instead of lunch.

Working days will depend on the player’s training and match schedule. Some weeks will require five days, while busier periods may require up to seven. Flexibility is essential, with time off in lieu or additional compensation provided for extra days worked.

Responsibilities

• Preparing fresh, high-quality lunches and dinners, with occasional breakfasts
• Creating varied weekly menus with international cuisine
• Delivering healthy, performance-focused meals for a professional athlete
• Ensuring food is flavourful, enjoyable and nutritionally balanced
• Adapting menus around training, matches, recovery and travel
• Managing dietary requirements and last-minute changes
• Sourcing premium ingredients and handling food purchasing
• Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen
• Managing stock, suppliers and food-related household costs
• Occasional catering for family or guests
• Working discreetly within a high-profile household

Requirements

• Based in Madrid
• EU passport and right to work in Spain
• Strong professional experience in the UK
• Must have worked in a private house
• Experience with athletes or footballers advantageous
• Excellent international cuisine knowledge
• Understanding of sports nutrition
• Confident using herbs and spices for flavour
• Able to deliver restaurant-quality, healthy food
• Flexible with working days and hours
• Fluent or strong English
• Discreet, reliable and well organised
• Excellent references

Terms

Salary: €70,000–€80,000 gross per annum, depending on experience.
