The Project Management Development Coach (P3/P4) is a dual level position that will be embedded in the Strategic Deterrent Systems Lean-Agile Center of Excellence, where he/she will champion Agile adoption across the entire division while delivering a sustainable training and coaching ecosystem. In addition to designing, developing, and delivering instructor-led and digital curricula that blend traditional project-management, Agile frameworks, and Earned-Value Management (EVM) fundamentals, the coach will work 1-on-1 with individuals to clarify and master their Agile roles, providing focused mentorship for Scrum Masters, Product Owners, chief scrum masters, and team members so each can execute their responsibilities with confidence. The coach will apply EVM techniques to the Sentinel program, configuring the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Advanced Roadmaps) to capture value-delivery metrics, and will translate those data into actionable action and coaching plans. Supporting the whole division, the coach will partner with a designated business unit to lead PI-Planning preparation and execution, ensuring that goals are aligned to strategic objectives, that backlog grooming and sprint commitments are realistic, and that performance is tracked against the Integrated Master Schedule. Throughout, the coach will champion a culture of continuous improvement and transparent communication, while maintaining full compliance with DoD acquisition policies and the required security clearances. This position can be located in Roy, Utah, Colorado Springs, Colorado, or Huntsville, Alabama.

Basic Qualifications:
Experience designing, developing, and delivering instructor-led and digital learning (curricula, slide decks, labs, assessments). Proven ability to run large-group trainings, virtual workshops, and self-paced e-learning, and to measure and improve learning outcomes.
Digital Environment and Tooling- Strong competence configuring and optimizing the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence) for agile execution.
Earned Value Management in a Agile Environment- Solid grasp of EVM fundamentals in a agile environment. Skilled at setting up tools to capture earned-value data and coaching teams on variance analysis and reporting within a agile environment. Can teach EVM Concepts and work 1v1 with individuals on doing EV in a agile environment.
Project Management and Agile Techniques- Deep knowledge of traditional project-management disciplines (scope, schedule, cost, risk) and modern agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Lean). Able to apply hybrid approaches that meet DoD standards and lead cross-functional, multi-project teams (e.g., PI Planning).
Collaboration and Communication Tools- Proficiency with enterprise-grade platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and collaborative workspaces (Confluence, SharePoint). Capable of producing clear documentation, presentations, and status updates for dispersed teams.
Problem-Solving \& Analytical Skills- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical abilities. Able to evaluate complex project metrics, diagnose impediments, and deliver actionable, evidence-based recommendations for both technical staff and senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
Training – Holds a recognized adult-learning or coaching certification (e.g., ICA Agile Coach, SAFe Program Consultant, PMP-ACP). Demonstrated success designing blended instructor-led e-learning curricula that include hands-on labs, assessments, and post-training analytics.
Digital Environment \& Tooling – Advanced expertise with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Advanced Roadmaps) including REST-API usage, custom scripts (Python, Groovy, PowerShell) and third-party plugins. Experience building end-to-end data-extraction pipelines that feed real-time metrics into dashboards.
Earned Value Management in an Agile Environment – Certified in Earned Value or certified CAM and a record of integrating EVM data into Agile tools . Ability to coach teams on variance analysis and value-based decision making. Ability to coach teams on doing EVM in a agile environment
Project Management \& Agile Techniques – Holds PMP, PMI-ACP, Lean-Six-Sigma Black Belt or other applicable certifications and deep knowledge of hybrid project-management?+?Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe). Demonstrated ability to scale Agile across multi-team, multi-project portfolios while meeting DoD acquisition standards.
Collaboration \& Communication Tools – Expert facilitator of virtual workshops using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Lucid , and other collaborative white-board platforms. Proven ability to produce clear, concise documentation (status reports, presentations, Confluence knowledge bases) for both technical and senior leadership audiences.
Problem-Solving \& Analytical Skills – Strong data-analysis background (Excel/Power BI, Tableau, SQL, R). Experience applying root-cause investigation, statistical process control, and evidence-based decision making to diagnose impediments and drive continuous improvement across Agile and hybrid environments.
Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
