We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing machinery plantation.
The Plant Supervisor’s responsibilities include ensuring smooth production processes, improving operational efficiency, and co-ordination with on-site workers.
Ultimately, the Plant Supervisor’s role is to guarantee that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by managing workforce, monitoring machinery plantation standards, and implementing quality control programs.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate (both remote and on-site) the activities of operating workers.
- Ensure adherence to safety guidelines, quality standards, and production schedules.
- Conduct employee performance reviews, provide feedback, and implement disciplinary actions as needed.
- Assess equipment functionality and coordinate maintenance or repair activities as necessary.
- Monitor machinery and spare parts inventory levels and order materials as needed.
- Implement cost-saving strategies and techniques.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures.
- Ensure all legal requirements, company safety procedures, and local and state health and safety regulations are met.
- Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related course are favorable.
- Additional certifications in plant operations management for machinery are an advantage.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing, plant operations, or machinery supervision.
- Knowledge of production planning and scheduling, inventory management principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to analyze operational reports and production data.
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
