Plant Operator- Packing & Loading

Warehouse Duties

Loading and unloading

• Export Order: Load goods/Product into containers for export delivery.
• Domestic Order: Load goods/Product into lorries for domestic delivery.
• Unloading Raw Material: Unload incoming raw material from lorries into our warehouse

Equipment and machinery

• Forklift Checklist: Complete a checklist before using the forklift.
• Packing Machine Checklist: Check the packing machine condition and others equipment and record the condition to work by checklist.
• Maintenance Support: Assist maintenance teams to repair and check machine breakdown.

Product Handling And Quality Control

• Batch Number Recording: Record the batch number of product before loading to lorries or into containers.
• Rework Damaged Bags: Rework any damaged paper bags or Bulk Bag.
• Product Transfer: Move goods/products from the packaging area to the finished goods area.
• Lab Result: Check Lab results to determine product quality. Report any rejects to the Supervisor for further action.

Record-Keeping And Reporting

• Packing Tonnage: Record the total Tonnage of packed goods per shift.
• Stock Count: Perform stock counts to ensure alignment with the reported stock levels.

Quality, Safety, Health and Environment

• Maintain safe working conditions and practices to achieve a zero (0) lost time injury record within the area of responsibility.
• Ensure that work areas are kept in clean, safe and orderly condition at all times. Enforce all Company safety regulations.
• Perform work duties in accordance with Omya Quality Systems Manual procedures.

Other Duties

Attend all mandatory site specific training and meetings. Assist Managers in special projects. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. QSHE

Perform work duties in accordance with Omya Quality Systems Manual procedures \& company policy. Keep work, supply areas and tools in a safe, clean and orderly condition at all times. Other requirements

Excellent command of both oral and written local language and English are required.Good command of both oral and written additional language is beneficial.Ability to perform shift work and overtime periodically as needed.

Education

• High School / Vocational, preferably in a technical field

Experience

Minimum 1 year experience in packaging / loading

Experience

in pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanics, and process controls required.

Knowledge and skills

• Skills in following areas: packaging and mobile equipment used in the department and/or operating forklifts and industrial equipment.
• Mechanical ability and troubleshooting skills.
• Good mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and verbal form.
• Ability to work effectively with supervisors and other personnel.
• Be receptive to learning and developing new procedures and skills.
• Computer literate with basic skills to input work orders in Maintracker, use Lotus Notes and operate industrial PLC programs.
• Ability to work in hard environmental conditions, including ability to work physically including reaching, climbing, lifting heavy objects, moving on and off forklift and various other physical activities required for the job.
