Position: Planning Engineer
Experience: 3–8 Years (GCC/Oman experience preferred)
Software Knowledge: Project Management Software (Odoo, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project), MS Excel
Job Summary
The Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules to ensure timely completion of construction projects. The role involves project planning, resource allocation, progress tracking, reporting, and coordination with project teams. The Planning Engineer shall utilize project management software to monitor project performance, identify delays, and support effective project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare baseline project schedules, work programs, and project timelines.
- Develop detailed project plans, resource schedules, and cash flow forecasts.
- Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly.
- Identify critical activities, potential delays, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and clients.
- Track project milestones and ensure compliance with contractual deadlines.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and site teams.
- Monitor manpower, equipment, and material resources against project requirements.
- Analyze project performance and productivity trends.
- Maintain project schedules and documentation using project management software.
- Assist in preparing recovery plans and revised schedules when required.
- Support project budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–8 years of experience in construction project planning and scheduling.
- Experience in building, infrastructure, fit-out, or MEP projects.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Odoo, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Project.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling techniques and construction methodologies.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and reporting tools.

Location: Sultanate of Oman.
Pay: RO300.000 - RO600.000 per month
