We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in planning and scheduling interior fit-out, joinery, and construction projects, ensuring effective project monitoring, control, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed project program based on the Client’s approved baseline program.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Coordinate with Clients, Main Contractors, Consultants, and Project Teams for periodic programme updates.
- Conduct follow-ups, discussions, and meetings to facilitate timely approvals and programme updates.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly progress reports, bar charts, manpower histograms, S-curves, look-ahead programmes, and KPI reports.
- Coordinate with Project Managers and other departments to ensure accurate planning and reporting.
- Assist Project Managers in project cost control and monitoring.
- Prepare project cash flow forecasts and monitor expenditure against budgets.
- Develop and maintain project KPIs for effective project monitoring and control.
- Prepare Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for baseline programmes.
- Identify project delays and issue delay notices to concerned parties when required.
- Develop detailed work schedules and closely monitor all project activities.
- Analyse project performance and recommend improvement measures to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in planning and scheduling of interior fit-out,joinery, and construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of project planning and scheduling techniques.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
- Good understanding of joinery, fit-out materials, and construction methodologies.
- Experience in preparing project reports, cash flows, manpower histograms, S-curves, and KPI dashboards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
