Responsibilities:
- Planning, updating, and revising work sequences across assigned projects.
- Developing and monitoring execution schedules and preparing As-Built programmes from the start of the project.
- Applying the Critical Path Method for planning and for delay analysis.
- Conducting cause-and-effect analysis of delays, both during contract execution and in support of claims.
- Preparing retrospective and prospective analyses, risk analyses, and initial Due Diligence reports.
- Preparing the delay analyses required for Statements of Case, Responses to Statements of Case, Rebuttals, and Rejoinders, within dispute resolution proceedings (DAB, local or international arbitration, courts of law).
- Identifying potential claims through continuous review and updating of programmes.
- Supporting the cost (Quantum) teams in quantifying the costs associated with delays, and the Contracts team in identifying critical delays.
- Liaising with collaborating lawyers to prepare and explain the delay analyses included in claims.
- Preparing written reports and monthly reports for the company’s clients.
- Site visits when required, and participation in meetings and working sessions.
Essential requirements
- Experience in planning construction works and developing Execution Programmes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Primavera (P6) or Microsoft Project.
- Knowledge of the norms, codes of practice, and design standards applied in the construction industry.
- Familiarity with the common methods of delay analysis, both during execution and after contract completion.
- Application of the Critical Path Method, resource allocation and distribution, understanding of calendars, and the calculation of float (time reserve).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- English language skills — intermediate level.
Nice to have
- The ability to produce Time-Location charts.
