Petergate Studios and Ashtons Estate Agents are looking for a creative, enthusiastic and organised individual to join our growing team in York in a varied role combining photography, property marketing and estate agency support.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an interest in photography who is looking to develop their skills within a busy, supportive and ambitious business. Whether you are a recent graduate, have some experience behind the camera or are looking to take the next step in your creative career, we would love to hear from you.

The role will primarily involve property photography, image editing and floorplan production, alongside supporting the Ashtons sales team with property viewings when required. It offers the opportunity to develop practical photography skills, gain valuable experience within the property industry and build a varied skill set across both businesses.

Previous professional photography experience or education would be beneficial, but enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and a proactive approach are just as important.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out property photography appointments to a high standard.
• Producing accurate and professional property floorplans.
• Editing and delivering high-quality imagery within agreed deadlines.
• Managing photography appointments and organising workloads effectively.
• Communicating professionally with clients, homeowners and colleagues.
• Assisting the Ashtons sales team with property viewings when required.
• Supporting the preparation and marketing of properties for sale.
• Maintaining high standards of customer service and representing both businesses positively.
• Developing photography and videography skills as the business grows.

What We’re Looking For

• A genuine interest in photography, with some practical experience or a portfolio demonstrating your ability.
• A creative eye and an interest in developing technical photography and editing skills.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage your time effectively.
• A confident, approachable manner and strong communication skills.
• A flexible and proactive attitude, with a willingness to support different areas of the business.
• The ability to work independently whilst contributing positively to a team.
• A full UK driving licence, as the role involves travelling to properties across York and the surrounding areas.

Experience in property photography, floorplan software, video production or estate agency would be advantageous, but training and development will be available for the right candidate.
