We are seeking an experienced, patient-focused Pharmacy Manager to lead our pharmacy operations and continue our tradition of exceptional service.

Position Summary

The Pharmacy Manager (Pharmacist-in-Charge) is responsible for overseeing all pharmacy operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, delivering outstanding patient care, and leading a dedicated pharmacy team. This position offers the opportunity to practice pharmacy in a community-centered environment where clinical judgment, patient relationships, and innovation are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations and workflow
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and pharmacy board regulations
  • Maintain accurate inventory management and controlled substance records
  • Supervise, train, and develop pharmacy technicians and support staff
  • Provide medication counseling and clinical services to patients
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
  • Manage prescription verification, dispensing accuracy, and quality assurance programs
  • Implement and expand patient care services, including immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and adherence programs
  • Foster strong relationships with patients, prescribers, and community stakeholders
  • Monitor financial performance and assist with business development initiatives
  • Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) as required by state regulations

QualificationsRequired

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
  • Active North Carolina pharmacist license in good standing (or ability to obtain licensure)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to exceptional patient care and community engagement

Preferred

  • Previous pharmacy management or PIC experience
  • Immunization certification
  • Experience in an independent or community pharmacy setting
  • Familiarity with Pioneer pharmacy management software
  • Experience with medication synchronization, MTM, and clinical services
