We are seeking an experienced, patient-focused Pharmacy Manager to lead our pharmacy operations and continue our tradition of exceptional service.
Position Summary
The Pharmacy Manager (Pharmacist-in-Charge) is responsible for overseeing all pharmacy operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, delivering outstanding patient care, and leading a dedicated pharmacy team. This position offers the opportunity to practice pharmacy in a community-centered environment where clinical judgment, patient relationships, and innovation are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations and workflow
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and pharmacy board regulations
- Maintain accurate inventory management and controlled substance records
- Supervise, train, and develop pharmacy technicians and support staff
- Provide medication counseling and clinical services to patients
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
- Manage prescription verification, dispensing accuracy, and quality assurance programs
- Implement and expand patient care services, including immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and adherence programs
- Foster strong relationships with patients, prescribers, and community stakeholders
- Monitor financial performance and assist with business development initiatives
- Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) as required by state regulations
QualificationsRequired
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
- Active North Carolina pharmacist license in good standing (or ability to obtain licensure)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Commitment to exceptional patient care and community engagement
Preferred
- Previous pharmacy management or PIC experience
- Immunization certification
- Experience in an independent or community pharmacy setting
- Familiarity with Pioneer pharmacy management software
- Experience with medication synchronization, MTM, and clinical services
