Pharmacist – Richard Adams Pharmacy, Chalfont St Peter
About Us
Richard Adams Pharmacy is an independent community pharmacy in Chalfont St Peter, and we're genuinely proud of what we've built. We're not a chain — we're a local pharmacy where patients are known by name, where the team actually enjoys coming to work, and where there's real scope to make a difference. We offer a growing range of NHS and private services, and we're looking for a pharmacist who wants to be part of shaping what we do next, not just maintain the status quo.
The Role
This isn't a head-down, dispense-and-go position. We want someone who's as comfortable chatting with a nervous patient about their travel jabs as they are supporting a colleague through a tricky query. You'll lead from the front clinically, but also play a genuine role in developing our team and growing our services.
What You'll Be Doing
Clinical \& Service Delivery
- Delivering NHS essential and advanced services to a high standard, including Pharmacy First and NMS
- Running and supporting our private clinic offering — travel vaccines, weight loss consultations, and ear microsuction if you hold the qualification (not essential, but a real bonus)
- Providing expert, patient-centred advice on medications, side effects, and interactions
- Collaborating with GPs, nurses, and other local healthcare professionals to get the best outcomes for patients
Dispensary \& Compliance
- Overseeing accurate dispensing and ensuring the pharmacy operates safely within GPhC and legal requirements
- Maintaining thorough records and upholding our standards around data protection and patient confidentiality
- Managing stock levels to ensure essential medicines are always available
Team \& Development
- Playing an active role in training and mentoring our dispensing team — sharing your knowledge and helping colleagues grow
- Building a positive, supportive team culture where everyone feels valued
- Staying current with CPD and bringing new ideas and developments back to the team
What We're Looking For
- GPhC-registered pharmacist with a valid practising certificate
- Solid community pharmacy experience — you understand the pace and the responsibility
- A genuine interest in advanced and private services, not just core dispensing
- Someone who leads by example and takes team development seriously
- Warm, approachable, and great with patients — empathy matters here as much as clinical knowledge
- Ear microsuction qualification is a welcome bonus, but not a dealbreaker
- Right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship
What Makes This Different
At an independent pharmacy, your voice actually counts. You'll have the opportunity to help shape how we develop our services, build relationships within the local healthcare community, and be part of a team that genuinely cares — about patients and about each other.
If that sounds like the kind of place you want to work, we'd love to hear from you.
