About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Performance Tester to join a large Federal Government program. This role focuses on validating the performance, scalability, and stability of complex, high‑volume systems across multiple enterprise applications. You will work within fast‑paced, delivery‑focused teams, contributing to end‑to‑end performance testing activities across concurrent Agile projects, ensuring systems meet strict non‑functional and SLA requirements.

Contract Details:

• Start Date: Wednesday, 1 July 2026
• Initial Contract: To 30 June 2027
• Extension Options: 2 × 12 months
• Location: ACT and VIC
• Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver performance testing activities in fast‑paced, Agile delivery teams
• Plan and manage the full performance testing lifecycle within project constraints
• Develop and execute performance test plans, schedules, estimates, and reports
• Prepare, develop, and execute performance test cases and scripts
• Coordinate testing resources, delivery activities, and timelines
• Identify, manage, and escalate testing risks, issues, and dependencies
• Analyse test results, identify bottlenecks, and perform root cause analysis
• Provide technical guidance on performance testing tools, environments, and data
• Build and maintain effective relationships with project managers, ICT teams, and business stakeholders
• Produce clear, accurate, and up‑to‑date performance testing and technical documentation
• Coach and uplift team capability through on‑the‑job support

• Performance testing and analysis
• Performance script development
• LoadRunner, NeoLoad, JMeter
• SOAP UI / Load UI
• Test scenario design (Load, Stress, Endurance, Spike)
• Performance test execution and reporting
• Bottleneck identification and root cause analysis
• Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools
• Web services \& API performance testing
• HTTP/HTTPS protocols
• Performance metrics, reporting, and log analysis
• SQL and database performance validation
• Azure DevOps
• Linux / Unix / Bash fundamentals
