Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all pastry and bakery operations across the company.
  • Develop innovative healthy desserts, pastries, cakes, cookies, and baked goods that align with Nutreeze's nutrition-focused concept.
  • Create recipes using healthier alternatives, including natural sweeteners, high-protein ingredients, whole grains, and reduced-calorie options.
  • Ensure consistent product quality, presentation, and taste standards.
  • Oversee pastry production planning, scheduling, and workflow efficiency.
  • Manage food costs, recipe costing, inventory, and wastage control.
  • Train, coach, and develop pastry team members to maintain high performance and professional standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality assurance requirements.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, and Product Development teams on new product launches and seasonal promotions.
  • Monitor market trends and introduce innovative products that support Nutreeze's growth strategy.

Key Competencies

  • Minimum 7 years of pastry experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or Head Pastry Chef role.
  • Strong expertise in healthy baking, dessert innovation, and modern pastry techniques.
  • Experience with sugar-free, high-protein, gluten-free, keto-friendly, or low-calorie products is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a pastry team.
  • Strong knowledge of food costing, inventory management, and production planning.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Culinary Arts or Pastry Arts certification is preferred.
