About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Cook to join a growing food manufacturing and production business. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook food products, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring compliance with food safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, season, cook, and present a variety of food products according to established recipes and production specifications.
- Prepare ingredients and monitor cooking processes to ensure consistency, quality, and food safety standards are maintained.
- Plan daily food preparation and production requirements to meet operational demands.
- Monitor food quality, taste, texture, and presentation standards.
- Operate kitchen and food production equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with product preparation, mixing, marinating, and batch production processes.
- Portion, package, and label finished products in accordance with company requirements.
- Inspect ingredients and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain stock rotation and assist with inventory management.
- Follow all Food Control Plan, HACCP, food safety, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic work environment.
- Assist with training and supporting other team members as required.
Skills and Experience
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen, catering operation, food manufacturing, or food production environment.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, quality control, and food safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
