Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time interpretation for Spanish-speaking clients in medical, social work, behavioral health services, or legal environments
• Translate written documents such as medical records, reports, and case notes with precision and confidentiality
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and sensitive information
• Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, supporting proper record-keeping and reporting
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, social workers, and legal teams to facilitate clear communication during appointments or meetings
• Document interpretation sessions accurately, including notes on terminology used and any relevant observations

Experience

• Multilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is essential; additional languages are a plus
• Proven experience in interpretation or translation within healthcare or social services settings
• Familiarity with medical terminology and hospital procedures is highly desirable
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient confidentiality and data security
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and empathetically
• Prior work in clerical settings or social work environments is preferred
