Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our team. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. Prior restaurant experience is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their experience
- Use POS systems for order entry and cash handling
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards
- Manage cash transactions accurately, including cashiering duties
- Restock bar supplies and monitor inventory levels regularly
- Ensure responsible alcohol service by checking IDs and adhering to legal drinking age regulations
- Assist in serving food when necessary, supporting overall restaurant operations
- Uphold food safety and handling procedures at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy hours
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially in bartending or serving roles
- Familiarity with POS systems.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling and bill splitting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor are essential for success in this hospitality role
- Must be fluent in written & speaking English & Canadian Citizen
- Must have PRO Serve Certificate
- Hours are Tuesday approximately 8 hours and Thursday evenings 4.5 hours with the possibility of additional hours.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
