About the role:

Visy Logistics is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our WA Metro division, based in Canning Vale. This is a hands‑on leadership role with full operational and commercial accountability, suited to someone who thrives in high-volume FMCG or metro distribution environments.

You will take ownership of the end‑to‑end transport operation, driving safety, service and financial performance across fleet and labour. You will lead the coordination of drivers, subcontractors and transport activity to deliver consistent, reliable outcomes across customer networks.

What You’ll Do:

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Lead day-to-day operations across fleet, drivers, and logistics teams
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, CoR and regulatory standards
• Monitor and facilitate repairs and maintenance of vehicles and equipment
• Drive productivity, innovation and commercial improvement across operations
• Deliver exceptional customer service and strong DIFOT performance
• Manage budgets, forecasts and P\&L with a disciplined commercial focus
• Develop and mentor team members, fostering a high-performance culture

What You’ll Bring:

• Proven experience leading or managing transport, fleet or logistics operations
• Solid financial acumen with experienced in budgeting, forecasting, and P\&L management
• Knowledge of CoR, fatigue management, load restraint, and mass management
• Commercial mindset with the ability to optimise fleet utilisation and manage labour costs
• Confident with SAP, TMS and telematic systems
