Job Description

Role Overview

As an Operations Manager at Shine, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and

executing client events from confirmation through successful completion. You will act as the

primary operational lead, ensuring staffing requirements, client expectations, timelines, and

event logistics are delivered to the highest standard.

Working closely with Business Development, Recruitment, Operations, and Event

Supervisors, you will oversee multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining Shine's

reputation for operational excellence and exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Event Management
  • Manage the complete lifecycle of assigned events from project kickoff through post-event completion.
  • Develop project timelines, staffing plans, and execution schedules.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure all event requirements are fulfilled.
  • Monitor project milestones and proactively address operational risks.
  • Ensure every event is delivered on time, within scope, and according to client expectations.
Client Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients during project execution.
  • Conduct project briefings and planning meetings with clients.
  • Communicate event updates, staffing confirmations, and operational changes.
  • Resolve client concerns promptly while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Staffing & Operations
  • Collaborate with the Recruitment team to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
  • Review staff allocations based on event requirements and client expectations.
  • Coordinate with Event Supervisors to ensure successful on-site execution.
  • Monitor attendance, shift coverage, replacements, and operational performance.
Event Execution
  • Oversee event readiness before deployment.
  • Ensure supervisors receive complete event briefings and documentation.
  • Monitor live event operations and provide support when unexpected issues arise.
  • Make real-time operational decisions to ensure successful event delivery.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with:
  • Business Development for project handovers.
  • Recruitment for staffing fulfillment.
  • HR for compliance and documentation.
  • Finance regarding project budgets and payrolls.
  • Marketing when required for branded activations.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Prepare post-event reports summarizing performance, staffing outcomes, client feedback, and lessons learned.
  • Track project KPIs including staffing fulfillment, attendance, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance event delivery and internal workflows.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, EventManagement, Hospitality, or a related field.
Experience
  • 3–5+ years of project management, event operations, hospitality, or staffing experience.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Previous experience working with large teams in fast-paced environments is highly preferred.
