About NTFS
Northern Territory Freight Services, as a division of K\&S Corporation, are a general freight carrier between Adelaide and NT destinations with both ambient and temperature-controlled capabilities and have a heritage of servicing the Territory spanning decades. Local operations in Alice Springs and Darwin also incorporate route work, meaning we are a fundamental part of the NT freight infrastructure.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:
As Operations Manager, you’ll have operational responsibility for the Berrimah NT Operation.
Leading the team across general freight and contract logistics operations.
Driving a culture where “Everybody Safe Every Day” is embedded in everything we do.
Managing fleet performance, scheduling, utilisation and operational efficiency.
Delivering exceptional customer service while strengthening long-term client relationships.
Leading financial performance, budgets, KPIs and profitability.
Identifying opportunities to improve productivity, service delivery and business performance.
Ensuring compliance with all Safety legislation, Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management and company standards.
Recruiting, coaching and developing talented operational teams.
Leading incident investigations, risk management and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You:
You’re an experienced transport or logistics leader who enjoys balancing operational excellence with people leadership.
You’ll ideally bring:
Significant leadership experience within transport, logistics and man management.
Proven success leading large operational teams in fast-paced environments.
A genuine passion for safety, compliance and continuous improvement.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience managing fleet operations and transport scheduling.
The ability to make sound decisions under pressure while maintaining exceptional customer outcomes.
Experience within transport will be highly regarded, however experienced transport leaders from broader logistics environments are encouraged to apply.
