Job Description

We are currently recruiting an experienced Operations/Area Manager to join our growing group of early years services in Galway City. This is a senior leadership role within a larger organisation, responsible for overseeing the operational, regulatory, and quality performance of multiple creches.

The Role:

As Operations/Area Manager, you will provide leadership and support to Centre Managers, ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, and act as a key link between individual services and senior management. You will have accountability for quality standards, operational performance, and continuous improvement across your assigned services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of 3–4 creches
  • Lead, mentor, and support Centre Managers
  • Ensure compliance with Tusla regulations, Aistear, Síolta, and internal standards
  • Prepare centres for inspections and manage follow-up actions
  • Monitor staffing, occupancy, budgets, and KPIs
  • Drive quality improvement and best practice across services
  • Work closely with the General Manager on strategy and performance
  • Act as an escalation point for complex operational or parent issues

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior management or multi-site role within an early years organisation or another relevant industry e.g. healthcare
  • Strong knowledge of Tusla regulations and compliance requirements
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Full driving licence and ability to travel between services

Pay: €40,000.00-€60,000.00 per year
