Overview:
To ensure smooth daily operations by overseeing facility maintenance, tenant coordination, service quality, safety compliance, and operational efficiency in line with SGM’s standards. The role supports the Operations Manager in delivering a safe, clean, and customer-friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
1. Facility \& Maintenance Coordination
- Monitor day-to-day facility operations, including MEP, HVAC, cleaning, waste management, and landscaping.
- Coordinate with facility management vendors for preventive and corrective maintenance.
Conduct daily inspections to identify and resolve issues promptly.
2. Tenant Relations \& Support
- Act as a liaison between tenants and mall management for operational matters.
- Address tenants’ service requests and complaints within set timeframes.
Support new tenant fit-out works in coordination with leasing and technical teams.
3. Health, Safety \& Security Compliance
- Ensure all safety regulations and emergency procedures are implemented and followed.
- Coordinate with security teams for incident reporting, safety drills, and crowd control during events.
Monitor contractor compliance with safety rules during works inside the mall.
4. Operational Quality Control
- Maintain cleanliness and ambience standards in public and service areas.
- Conduct daily operational walk-throughs, documenting, and escalating non-compliance issues.
Support in monitoring and improving service level agreements (SLAs) with contractors.
5. Energy \& Resource Management
- Assist in monitoring energy, water, and other utilities consumption.
Suggest cost-saving and sustainability initiatives.
6. Administrative \& Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance works, incidents, and inspections.
Support budget control and procurement processes for operational needs.
Requirements
Qualifications \& Experience
- Bachelor in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3–4 years of experience in mall operations or retail property management, large commercial facilities, or airports/hospitals.
- Experience in vendor management and tenant coordination is an advantage.
Hands-on with chiller plant, elevators/escalators, and BMS; basic electrical troubleshooting (panels/DBs), safe plumbing works.
Knowledge, Skills \& Abilities
- Knowledge of mall operations, facility management, and safety standards.
- Strong tenant relationship and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with maintenance systems and procedures (MEP, HVAC, BMS).
- Good communication skills in English and Arabic (preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools.
- Ability to multitask and handle emergencies calmly.
