TooT Academy is a premium online tutoring academy helping students excel in GCSE and 11+ exams through our unique TooT Method™ a method-first approach that teaches students to understand why before what, think like an examiner, and master mark schemes.

We are not a tutoring agency. We deliver our own structured programme through a team of exceptional tutors, known as Tooters. Every session follows The TooT Method™, ensuring consistent, high-quality teaching and real results.

We are growing fast and recruiting passionate, skilled tutors across the UK to join our team.

The Role

As a TooT Academy Tutor, you will deliver online sessions to small groups (up to 10 students, 15 students in a workshop) or 1-to-1, following our fixed timetable and teaching framework. You will help students build confidence, deepen understanding, and improve exam performance.

We are hiring for the following subjects:

· GCSE: Maths, English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics (Lower and Upper tiers)

· 11+: Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning

· SEN: 1-to-1 Maths and English for students with special educational needs

Session Times:

· Weekdays: 4:30–6:00 PM, 6:00–7:30 PM, 7:30–9:00 PM

· Weekends: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM (multiple blocks)

· Workshops: Wed–Fri afternoons (70 minutes)

Key Responsibilities

· Deliver engaging, method-first online lessons using The TooT Method™.

· Teach students how to understand concepts deeply, not just memorise answers.

· Break down mark schemes and show students exactly where marks are awarded.

· Prepare students to think like examiners and apply methods across different scenarios.

· Build confidence through understanding, especially for anxious or struggling learners.

· Complete brief lesson notes after each session to track student progress.

· Maintain a professional, supportive online classroom environment.

What We're Looking For

· Subject expertise: Strong knowledge in your chosen subject(s) at GCSE and/or 11+ level.

· Teaching experience: Prior tutoring or teaching experience

· Method-first mindset: You believe in understanding why before what.

· Excellent communication: You can explain complex ideas simply and warmly.

· Reliability: You commit to your scheduled sessions and communicate promptly.

· Tech confidence: Comfortable using online platforms.

· DBS check: You must have an enhanced DBS check (or be willing to obtain one).

· SEN roles: For SEN tutoring, you must have relevant experience or qualifications (e.g., SENCo, dyslexia training, autism awareness).
