The role

This position involves organising and controlling the functions and resources of the office, including administrative systems and office personnel. The Office Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of clerical and administrative tasks within the organisation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Contributing to the planning and review of office services, setting priorities and office service standards
  • Allocating human resources, office space, and equipment
  • Assigning work to and monitoring the work performance of office staff
  • Managing office records, accounts, and filing systems
  • Liaising with professionals to coordinate office business and facilitate resolution of problems
  • Ensuring office equipment and supplies are maintained
  • Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
  • Ensuring work complies with relevant government legislation, policies and procedures
  • Coordinating personnel activities such as hiring, promotions, performance management, payroll, training and supervision

Skills and experience

  • Minimum AQF Diploma or higher in Business Administration, Management, Accounting or a highly relevant field
  • At least one year of post-qualification employment in an office management role, preferably within the accounting industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage office records, accounts, and supplies
  • Strong communication and staff supervision skills
  • Capability to perform efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced office and warehouse setting.
  • Familiarity with occupational health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in office management systems and software

Employment details

This is a full time permanent role based on a 38 hour working week, Monday to Friday . You may be required to work additional hours where necessary to meet operational requirements.
