Job Purpose
The Regional Pricing Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that pricing data in MTS is complete, accurate, timely, and commercially effective across the region. The role drives the scope definition, availability, quality, and usability of centrally and locally maintained pricing elements by coordinating with Regional Trade teams and Country OCC teams to ensure rates and related pricing data are properly uploaded, governed, and continuously improved.
In addition, the role is responsible for analyzing pricing hit rates and quotation outcomes to identify competitiveness gaps, challenging the commercial effectiveness of rates maintained in MTS, and driving corrective actions to improve win rates and quoting performance. Acting as the regional MTS subject matter expert, the role supports governance, process discipline, user capability, and continuous improvement to strengthen both pricing data integrity and market competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities
–Support the definition and regular review of regional MTS pricing data scope, including target lane coverage across products and levels.
–Define and implement a regional accountability framework across Trades and Countries to define clear governance and escalation paths and ensure commercially relevant pricing availability.
–Drive the completeness, accuracy, validity, timeliness, and competitiveness of pricing data maintained in MTS across the region.
–Coordinate with Country OCC teams to ensure timely and accurate upload of locally procured pricing elements in MTS, including local charges, haulage, DDS, and other locally maintained pricing components.
–Partner with Regional Trade teams to ensure centrally procured shipping line freight rates and related service conditions, including transit time offerings and carrier-level free time where applicable, are accurately and timely maintained in MTS.
–Analyze hit rates, quote conversion trends, and pricing outcomes to identify competitiveness gaps and recommend actions to improve win rates and commercial effectiveness.
–Proactively challenges the competitiveness of rates and pricing elements in MTS and drive continuous improvement with Trade teams and Country OCC teams based on performance insights and market feedback.
–Monitor pricing data quality, coverage, timeliness, and usage performance through dashboards, controls, and audits, and ensure follow-up on gaps and inconsistencies.
–Serve as the regional MTS subject matter expert, providing guidance on system usage, data standards, upload processes, and issue resolution.
–Deliver training and support to reinforce MTS governance, pricing data standards, and best practices in regional pricing maintenance.
–Lead process improvement and automation initiatives to strengthen pricing operations and improve both the completeness and commercial effectiveness of pricing data in MTS.
